ASTORIA, Oregon, Oct. 25 -- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security's U.S. Coast Guard issued the following news release:
The crew of the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Alert returned to their homeport of Astoria Friday following a 10,700 nautical mile, 65-day, multi-mission patrol, resulting in the interdiction of nearly 4,000 pounds of cocaine worth approximately $54 million.
