SUNY-Albany: Link Found Between Opioid Misuse, Increased Depression in Teen Girls

ALBANY, New York, Oct. 25 [TNSsociologyresearch - Child and Adolescent Social Work Journal] -- The State University of New York's University at Albany issued the following news release:

New research by Keith Chan of the School of Social Welfare shows that among girls ages 12-17, the misuse of opioids greatly increases the chance of having a major depressive episode. Prescription opioids may include oxycodone, hydrocodone and fentanyl.
