NORFOLK, Virginia, Oct. 24 -- The U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, G. Zachary Terwilliger, issued the following news release:
A federal grand jury returned an indictment today charging a former Sheriff of the City of Norfolk with defrauding the citizens of Norfolk through a bribery scheme.
