WASHINGTON, Oct. 24 -- Rep. Vicente Gonzalez, D-Texas, issued the following statement regarding the Trump administration's decision to lift sanctions on Turkey:
"The Trump Administration's decision to lift sanctions against Turkey portrays the United States as toothless on the world stage and aligns our foreign policy interests with the authoritarian regimes of Russia, Turkey and Syria.
"President Trump has betrayed our Kurdish partners and allowed for Russia . . .
