KANSAS CITY, Missouri, Oct. 23 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Missouri issued the following news release:

The former owner of a Kansas City, Missouri, business was sentenced in federal court today for obstructing the government's effort to collect more than $378,000 in taxes owed.
