Sen. Wyden Issues Statement in Reaction to House Passage of Corporate Transparency Act

WASHINGTON, Oct. 22 -- Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Oregon, ranking Democratic member of the Senate Finance Committee, issued the following statement in reaction to House passage of the Corporate Transparency Act (H.R. 2513):

"The House today passed important legislation that would finally force disclosure from anonymous shell companies.

"Shell companies have facilitated rampant criminality, including real estate deals being used to launder illicit funds.
