Rep. Zeldin Issues Statement After Voting For PROTECT Hong Kong Act

WASHINGTON, Oct. 23 -- Rep. Lee Zeldin, R-New York, ranking Republican member of the House Foreign Affairs subcommittee on Oversight and Investigation, issued the following statement after voting for the PROTECT Hong Kong Act:

This week, the House of Representatives passed the PROTECT Hong Kong Act (H.R. 4270) and H.Res. 543, to express Congress' support for the people of Hong Kong and their right to protest and prohibit the commercial export of certain nonlethal crowd control items . . .
