WASHINGTON, Oct. 18 -- Rep. Al Green, D-Texas, issued the following news releases:
"Residents of Houston's Alief community, in the Ninth Congressional District of Texas that I proudly serve, have become increasingly concerned with the alarming level of chromium-6 in their water supply. While chromium-6 is a naturally-occurring chemical, it is most prevalent as a byproduct of industrial processes. Exposure to chromium-6 can cause skin irritation or lesions, ulcers, kidney damage . . .
