WASHINGTON, Oct. 18 -- Sen. Joe Manchin III, D-West Virginia, ranking Democratic member of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, issued the following statement on the resignation of Energy Secretary Rick Perry:
"Secretary Perry has been a true partner during his time at the Department of Energy and since I became Ranking Member of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee.
