WASHINGTON, Oct. 18 -- Rep. Greg Walden, R-Oregon, ranking Republican member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, issued the following statement on reports that Deputy Energy Secretary Dan Brouillette will be nominated to be Energy Secretary:

"While it will be hard to replace the drive, enthusiasm, and spirit that Rick Perry brought to the Department of Energy, I am confident that Deputy Secretary Brouillette will transition into this leadership role seamlessly.
