WASHINGTON, Oct. 18 -- The U.S. Department of the Interior's National Park Service issued the following news release:
The National Park Service today announced $4,313,407.02 in grants from the American Battlefield Protection Program (ABPP) to help protect 782.86 acres of significant battlefields in Kentucky, North Carolina, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia threatened with damage or destruction by suburban development.
