BROOKLYN, New York, Oct. 17 -- Brooklyn Borough President Eric L. Adams issued the following statement on the death of Rep. Elijah E. Cummings:
"It is with great sorrow that Brooklyn mourns the passing of Representative Elijah E. Cummings, a giant in American political life who served our country and his district of West Baltimore with dignity, honor, and passion.
