WASHINGTON, Oct. 17 -- Rep. Vicente Gonzalez, D-Texas, issued the following statement regarding the decision of President Trump to withdraw U.S. military troops and personnel in Syria:
"President Trump's decision to withdraw troops from northern Syria is a win for our adversaries and a major loss for our partners and the Syrian people.
"It's one thing to reassess the need for American troops abroad, it's another to listen to a foreign leader over your own expe . . .
