WASHINGTON, Oct. 11 -- Rep. Frank Pallone Jr., D-New Jersey, chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, issued the following statement criticizing the Environmental Protection Agency proposed lead and copper rule, which is meant to provide the first update in three decades to the federal government's lead and copper water standards:
