WASHINGTON, Oct. 10 -- Rep. Kay Granger, R-Texas, ranking Republican member of the House Appropriations Committee, issued the following statement after Rep. Nita M. Lowey, D-New York, announced that she is not seeking reelection in 2020:
The two currently serve as the first female Republican Ranking Member and first female Committee Chair of the panel respectively.
