GREAT FALLS, Montana, Oct. 9 -- The U.S. Attorney for the District of Montana, Kurt G. Alme, issued the following news release:
An ex-law enforcement officer for the Fort Peck Tribes was sentenced today to six months in prison, two years of supervised release and ordered to pay restitution and back taxes for stealing $40,000 from a tribal program intended to help youth, U.S. Attorney Kurt Alme said.
