WASHINGTON, Oct. 8 -- Rep. Anthony Brindisi, D-New York, issued the following news release:

Congressman Anthony Brindisi kicked off National Domestic Violence Awareness Month by demanding Mitch McConnell and the U.S. Senate reauthorize the critical Violence Against Women Act (VAWA). Brindisi was joined by local women and advocates at the Binghamton YWCA for his call to action.
