WATERBURY, Connecticut, Oct. 8 -- Rep. Jahana Hayes, D-Connecticut, issued the following statement after the Trump administration announced its intention to remove U.S. troops from Syria:
"The decision announced this week by the Administration to withdraw American troops from Syria is both misguided and a betrayal of our Kurdish allies, with whom we have worked extensively on the effort to root out ISIS.
"Turkey has repeatedly expressed opposition to the Kurd . . .
