BROOKLYN, New York, Oct. 8 -- Downstate Medical Center issued the following news release:
The AIDS Institute of the New York State Department of Health has awarded a 5-year, $1 million grant to the Health Education Alternatives for Teens Program (HEAT) at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University to provide essential health services for transgender and gender non-conforming youth (TGNC).
