WASHINGTON, Oct. 8 -- The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development issued the following news release:
Secretary Ben Carson applauds the nomination of Brian D. Montgomery to serve as Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). As the second most senior official at HUD, Mr. Montgomery will manage the day-to-day operations of the agency and will advise and assist the Secretary in leading the Department's nearly 8,000 employees.
