WASHINGTON, Oct. 7 -- Rep. Nita Lowey, D-New York, chair of the House Appropriations subcommittee on State and Foreign Operations, issued the following statement on the Trump administration's announced withdrawal of troops from Northern Syria:
"The Administration's decision to withdraw forces from Northern Syria, which came as a surprise late yesterday, is yet another blatantly irresponsible decision that will leave our Kurdish partners stranded and most certainly in clear dang . . .
