WASHINGTON, Oct. 7 -- Sens. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, and Chris Murphy, D-Connecticut, chairman and ranking member of the Senate Foreign Relations subcommittee on Near East, South Asia, Central Asia and Counterterrorism, issued the following joint statement on President Trump's decision to withdraw the U.S. troops from Northern Syria ahead of a planned Turkish invasion:
