WASHINGTON, Oct. 7 -- Rep. Jim Langevin, D-Rhode Island, chairman of the House Armed Services subcommittee on Intelligence, Emerging Threats and Capabilities, issued the following statement regarding press reports that the U.S. would allow Turkish military operations in northern Syria:
