ALBANY, New York, Oct. 8 -- New York Attorney General Letitia James issued the following statement in response to the oral arguments to issue a nationwide preliminary injunction on the public charge rule set to take effect on Oct. 15:
"The Trump Administration's public charge rule is an egregious attempt to infringe upon the laws and the values of this country.
"If the rule is enforced next week, New Yorkers - citizens and non-citizens alike - will be adversel . . .
