WASHINGTON, Oct. 8 -- Rep. Pete Olson, R-Texas, issued the following statement on Trump administration's intent to withdraw U.S. troops from northern Syria:
"As a former Navy pilot who flew missions in the Middle East and fully appreciates the sacrifices our troops have made to protect us from ISIS, I reject any early withdrawal from Syria.
"This action threatens American security and weakens credibility among our allies.
