DEER PARK, Texas, Oct. 4 -- Rep. Brian Babin, R-Texas, issued the following statement upon learning that President Trump has signed a federal disaster declaration for the areas in southeast Texas impacted by Tropical Storm Imelda:
"I applaud President Trump for swiftly signing the Federal Disaster Declaration request, sent by Governor Abbott earlier this week, so those impacted by the severe flooding brought by Imelda are now able to receive individual assistance.
