AUSTIN, Texas, Oct. 4 -- Gov. Greg Abbott, R-Texas, issued the following news release:
On October 1st, Governor Abbott sent a letter to President Trump requesting a Presidential Disaster Declaration for six counties in the Gulf Coast region that sustained severe flooding that caused widespread damage.
