WASHINGTON, Oct. 3 -- Rep. John Moolenaar, R-Michigan, issued the following news release:
The Department of the Army recently announced it has awarded a five-year, $15 million contract to Avon Protection Systems in Cadillac to make valves for the Joint Service General Purpose Mask that is worn by all branches of the military.
According to reporting on Military.com, the mask provides "24 hours of above-the-neck protection from [chemical and biological] agents." . . .
