WASHINGTON, Oct. 2 -- Rep. Filemon Vela, D-Texas, issued the following news release:
Today, Congressman Filemon Vela (D-TX) announced that Alice Independent School District will receive up to $3.5M in funds from the U.S. Department of Education to support training for teachers and staff to implement evidence-based strategies to improve school climate for students. A total of $728, 259 will be administered the first budget period and are anticipated to continue for five years.
