NEW YORK, Sept. 30 -- Brennan Center for Justice at New York University School of Law issued the following statement by Ames Grawert, senior counsel in the justice program and co-author of an analysis of the new numbers, after FBI released its 2018 Uniform Crime Reporting program data, and it shows that U.S. rates of murder, violent crime, and overall crime decreased:
