WASHINGTON, Sept. 27 -- The Association of Public and Land-Grant Universities issued the following statement by President Peter McPherson after Sen. Lamar Alexander, R-Tennessee, cosponsored the College Transparency Act (S. 800):
"We are deeply appreciative that Chairman Alexander is now a cosponsor of the College Transparency Act. It's long past time Congress lift the ban on student-level data so the public, policymakers, and schools can have access to much more complete data . . .
