WASHINGTON, Sept. 27 -- Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Texas, ranking Republican member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, issued the following joint statement with Chairman Eliot L. Engel, D-New York, on protests in Egypt and reports of detention of protestors and journalists:
