WASHINGTON, Sept. 27 -- Rep. Alma S. Adams, D-North Carolina, issued the following statement on the Senate's failure to pass the Fostering Undergraduate Talent by Unlocking Resources for Education Act:
"The FUTURE Act is bipartisan. It passed the House with broad support and has strong support in the Senate. It is shocking and illogical that Senator Alexander has refused to do his job and pass this vital legislation, critical for the success of HBCUs and students of color.
