WASHINGTON, Sept. 25 -- Reps. Peter A. DeFazio, D-Oregon, chairman of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, and Sean Patrick Maloney, D-New York, issued the following opening remarks at a hearing entitled "Coast Guard and Port Infrastructure: Built to Last?":
