WASHINGTON, Sept. 24 -- Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, issued the following news release:
Today, U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) announced that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has awarded $2,840,518 to seven fire departments in Central Ohio for operations and safety, vehicle acquisition, and hiring of firefighters through the Assistance to Firefighters Grants (AFG) and Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) Program.
