GALVESTON, Texas, Sept. 24 -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers issued the following news release:

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Galveston District and the Cedar Bayou Navigation District (CBND) are set to begin construction of the Cedar Bayou Channel Improvement Project.
