WASHINGTON, Sept. 23 -- Sen. Charles E. Schumer, D-New York, issued the following news release:
U.S. Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer and U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand today announced $126,401.90 in federal funding for two fire departments in the Southern Tier. Specifically, the City of Elmira Fire Department in Chemung County will receive $49,640 to replace old vehicle extrication equipment, which is used in hazardous materials incidents and helps rescue people from conf . . .
