WASHINGTON, Sept. 20 -- Rep. Charlie Crist, D-Florida, issued the following statement regarding reports that Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson made comments hurtful to transgender individuals during an internal meeting while visiting HUD's San Francisco office:
