WASHINGTON, Sept. 20 -- Rep. Phil Roe, R-Tennessee, ranking Republican member of the House Veterans' Affairs Committee, issued the following statement after the Veterans Affairs' Department released the 2019 National Veteran Suicide Prevention Report containing an analysis of veteran suicide data from 2005 to 2017:
"The release of this report today confirms that the rates of suicide among those who have served remains tragically high. Suicide is undoubtedly a public health cris . . .
