WASHINGTON, Sept. 18 -- Rep. Virginia Foxx, R-North Carolina, ranking Republican member of the House Education and Labor Committee, issued the following opening statement at a full committee markup of the Dignity in Aging Act (H.R. 4334) and School Shooting Safety and Preparedness Act (H.R. 4301):
