SIOUX FALLS, South Dakota, Sept. 12 -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture's National Agricultural Statistics Service - South Dakota Field Office issued the following news release:
Based on September 1 conditions, South Dakota's 2019 corn crop is forecast at 626 million bushels, down 20 percent from last year's production, according to the USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service. Acreage harvested for grain is estimated at 4.01 million acres, down 17 percent from a year ago. . . .
