WASHINGTON, Sept. 11 -- Rep. Veronica Escobar, D-Texas, issued the following statement on the House Judiciary Committee's markup of legislation to address the gun violence in the U.S.:
"After the hateful attack against El Paso, I was determined to return to our nation's capital and deliver the change the victims, survivors, and thousands of communities impacted by gun violence deserve.
