RALEIGH, N.C., Sept. 6 -- The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services issued the following news release:
North Carolina households who currently receive Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) will receive September 2019 benefits early so that they can purchase necessary food immediately following Hurricane Dorian's landfall. The state of North Carolina will make more than $88 million available to approximately 380,000 households to enable them to immediately purchase food . . .
