WASHINGTON, Sept. 6 -- Rep. French Hill, R-Arkansas, issued the following statement after the release of the Trump administration's proposed housing finance reform plan:
"On this day 11 years ago, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were placed into conservatorship. This historic move was never meant to be a permanent solution in response to the financial crisis.
