NEW YORK, Sept. 6 -- The Natural Resources Defense Council issued the following news release:
The Trump administration attacked automakers that pledged to produce vehicles with lower tailpipe emissions.
The following is a statement from Luke Tonachel, director of clean vehicles and fuels at the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC):
"The Trump administration is trying to bully automakers into accepting a regulatory rollback the companies don't want. . . .
