WASHINGTON, Sept. 4 -- Sen. Martha McSally, R-Arizona, issued the following statement after the Secretary of Defense announced the deferment of a military construction project in Arizona:
McSally fought to ensure no projects in Arizona were impacted and received that guarantee from the former Acting Secretary of Defense. However, the lone project impacted in Arizona was already delayed due to unforeseen environmental issues at the construction site.
