ALCOA, Tennessee, Sept. 4 -- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Transportation Security Administration issued the following news release:
The Transportation Security Administration discovered a loaded firearm at the McGhee Tyson Airport (TYS) checkpoint this morning.
At approximately 7:15 a.m., a loaded Smith & Wesson 9mm handgun was detected in a passenger's carry-on bag.
