RALEIGH, North Carolina, Sept. 4 -- The Sierra Club issued the following statement by Dave Rogers, southeast deputy regional campaign director for Beyond Coal campaign, on the plans to burn coal by Duke Energy:
Duke Energy wants to burn dirty, uneconomic coal for several more decades and add massive amounts of dangerous fracked gas in North and South Carolina, according to its latest filings with state regulators.
