PHOENIX, Arizona, Sept. 4 -- The American Civil Liberties Union of Arizona issued the following statement by Executive Director Alessandra Soler after Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey appointed Maricopa County Attorney Bill Montgomery to the Arizona Supreme Court:
"Gov. Ducey chose the most unqualified candidate on the list to serve on the highest court in Arizona. In the process, he showed complete disregard for Arizona's most marginalized communities who've been deeply hurt by Montgom . . .
