WASHINGTON, Sept. 1 -- Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-California, ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, issued the following statement on the shooting in West Texas:

"When will enough be enough? When will opponents to gun safety reform stand up to the gun violence epidemic that it taking so many American lives?

"There are bills ready to be debated and voted on today, but Republicans in the Senate and the president continue to sit on their hands.
